Expansion
Former Union Minister Maneka Gandhi is once again in the fray as a BJP candidate from Sultanpur seat. This time too, the biggest challenge before him is the Isauli assembly constituency, which is considered the stronghold of the Bhadra brothers. While Varun Gandhi got an easy victory in 2014 with the support of the Bhadra brothers, Maneka Gandhi had to struggle to win after she became his rival.
When Varun Gandhi contested from this seat in 2014, Chandrabhadra Singh Sonu and Yashbhadra Singh Monu of Isauli were in his support, but the scenario changed in 2019. When Maneka Gandhi entered the fray, Chandrabhadra Singh Sonu stood in front of her as a candidate from the BSP-SP alliance. In such a situation, when voting took place, Maneka got 79382 votes and Sonu got 84933 votes in Isauli, an area dominated by the Bhadra family. Maneka Gandhi, who was lagging behind by about five and a half thousand from here, also got a setback in Sultanpur assembly constituency. He got 87848 votes and Sonu Singh got 100411 votes.

Lambhua assembly constituency also did not support him much and he got a lead of only about one thousand votes. It was fortunate that Kadipur and Sadar assembly constituencies openly supported Maneka Gandhi, due to which she got about 32 thousand more votes than here.
This lead not only bridged the gap of defeat in Isauli and Sultanpur seats but also gave him victory by 13,859 votes. Now, considering the past experience on both these seats, it will be interesting to see what strategy Maneka adopts.
Assembly wise votes received by BJP and BSP candidates in the year 2019
Assembly Constituency–BJP–BSP
Isauli — 79382 — 84933
Sultanpur — 87848 — 100411
Sadar — 95550 — 78332
Lambhua — 91388 — 90392
Kadipur — 104113 — 90354
Total — 4,58,281 — 4,44,422
So you will have to compete with the noble family.
Chandrabhadra Singh Sonu and his brother Yashbhadra Singh Monu, who were the runners up in the last elections, will not be able to contest the elections now due to being convicted in a case, but political experts of the district believe that this will not make any difference to their support base. Looking at the extremely strained relations between MP Maneka Gandhi and the Bhadra family, it is clear that the Bhadra family will again oppose her in the elections. In such a situation, penetrating the fort of Isauli will not be as easy as before.
